German expressionist director F.W. Murnau’s most beautiful silent era masterpiece and first Hollywood film “SUNRISE: A SONG OF TWO HUMANS” (1927) starring George O’Brien, Janet Gaynor and Margaret Livingston is the story of a naïve young farmer bewitched by an alluring city woman, driving him toward murder. Hailed as one of the best films of all time by many, the film and Janet Gaynor both won the Academy Award for “Unique and Artistic Picture” and “Best Actress In A Leading Role” at the first Academy Awards in 1929.

SUNRISE: A SONG OF TWO HUMANS (F.W Murnau’s 1927 classic silent film) is part of an ongoing series of live re-score vinyl and digital releases by MORRICONE YOUTH. The fourth vinyl release by Country Club Records (distributed by Light In The Attic) in a series of original and re-interpreted live scores that the band has written original music for and performed over the past six years (the first three releases being “NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD,” (2016) “THE ADVENTURES OF PRINCE ACHMED,” (2016) and 2017’s “MAD MAX”). Copies of the first pressing of 500 on limited edition "Sunrise-Orange" vinyl will be available at the screening.
